Mark’s credentials
Mark worked in major commercial law firms for 29 years. As a property litigator he worked at Linklaters & Paines, and was later a partner at Lawrence Graham. He has acted for a range of clients from FTSE100 investment companies and major corporate occupiers, through to small businesses and individuals
He is an expert in commercial property management law, and as well as advising on the structuring and documentation of transactions he has conducted a wide range of commercial property disputes, acting both for landlords and for tenants. They include recovery of rent and other sums, damages for disrepair, disputes over landlords’ unreasonable refusal of consent, forfeiture of leases, service charge disputes, lease renewals and more. More recently he has practised as a professional support lawyer, at DLA Piper and Eversheds.

Mark is now a non-practising solicitor, and works as a commercial property management law trainer, putting his expertise and experience to good use in training both lawyers and surveyors. He has prepared and delivered training sessions, for colleagues, clients and external audiences, from an early stage in his career, and has a wealth of experience.
He is a contributor to Estates Gazette, Property Week and Property Law Journal, the author of The Lease Guide website, and the author of books on Dilapidations and Landlord’s Consents.
