Have you ever wondered how to take an interaction from small talk to a deep conversation? In this online course, we address the importance of going beyond the initial social connection, exploring how to follow-up on a conversation successfully.   

By providing a framework that sets out the essential stages of professional engagement, this course will empower you to have meaningful conversations and develop lasting connections.  

This is part of the Professional Relationships bundle. The bundle also includes an online classroom that will support you to consolidate your learning.

This course does not assume any prior knowledge. 

What this will cover

In this course, we’ll be looking at the following areas: 

  • how to move from small talk to meaningful conversations 
  • going beyond the initial stage of networking and knowing how and when to follow-up 
  • how to form mutually giving and beneficial relationships

After completing this course, learners will be able to: 

  • outline the three stages of networking and be able to apply tips and strategies to excel at each stage  
  • use these skills to build nurturing and durable relationships with clients and colleagues  
  • discover innovative ways of developing professionally
