Your approach to networking determines the opportunities that come your way.  Would you like to develop the right mindset to become a successful networker?  

This online learning course will equip you with the skills you need to a develop a constructive mindset and navigate networking situations with confidence. The course will explore the habits, practices and thought processes that risk holding you back, allowing you to map out a networking strategy and equipping you with the tools you need to overcome these barriers and forge strong connections.

What this will cover

In this course, we’ll be looking at the following areas: 

  • how to develop a constructive mindset and avoid self-sabotage 
  • self-presentation and how to devise an introductory pitch 
  • successful networking strategies 
  • how to recognise habits, practices and thought processes that hold people back, and how to deal with these 
  • the concepts of ‘belonging’ and networking as a ‘shared playground’

After completing this course, learners will be able to: 

  • reflect on their personal goals and the purpose of networking  
  • gain insights into how to map out an individual strategy and develop a sense of control over the outcomes of networking   
  • understand the tools required to build an initial connection that can be nurtured to create an effective and mutually-giving professional relationship with colleagues and clients
