Immigration and Asylum Law Accreditation: Senior Caseworker Reaccreditation Examination

This online multiple choice examination is for Immigration and Asylum Senior Caseworkers who need to renew their accreditation.

The exam covers essential immigration law topics such as protection appeals, judicial reviews, domestic violence, human trafficking, and best practices for asylum seekers to ensure senior caseworkers have the necessary skills and knowledge to continue providing high-quality immigration services.

The questions cover the syllabus as set out in the Candidate’s Guidance for initial accreditation. 

Required prior knowledge

Candidates will be tested on their awareness, knowledge and understanding of law, policy and procedure arising from the syllabus set out in the Immigration & Asylum Accreditation Candidates’ Guidance.

Candidates are expected to know what sources of law, policy and procedure apply to the area of the syllabus, in which they are being tested, and be able to look at those authorities to find answers to questions.

The syllabus is confined to work that can be conducted under an Immigration Legal Aid contract and comprises:-

The expected standards are designed to reflect the issues encountered by practitioners and ensure that accredited members are able to deliver good quality advice and representation.

Candidates have two attempts to answer 30 multiple choice questions within two hours. In order to pass the exam you must achieve a mark of at least 70%. If your time expires the exam and your answers will submit automatically.
