Richard has been a practitioner providing advice and representation in investigations into the conduct of solicitors and their staff for over 30 years. He has also assisted solicitors on practice and management issues, an area where a knowledge of the professional requirements is key

He has been a partner in practices since 1980, and for over 40 years has been actively involved in practice management as senior partner.

Having started his own practices, he has had hands–on experience of the management of firms from sole practice up to firms with over 60 partners.

He has been a member of the Law Society committees at both national and local Law Society levels and is a former president of his local Law Society.

He is also a founder member of the Lawyers Defence Group and has been a panel and committee member of the Solicitors Assistance Scheme for many years, as well as being a member of the SDT User Group Committee.
