Introduction to Digital Technology and Lawtech

The impact of digital technology and lawtech on the legal profession and legal work cannot be understated. It is changing what work is done, as well as how and by whom. More broadly, it is continuing to shape the nature and future direction of the legal profession and client services.

This course aims to give you an understanding of the key terminology and concepts relating to digital technology and its applications via lawtech. It also explores how digital technology is currently being used, and how this is likely to develop in future. In doing so, it will consider key forms of emerging digital technology, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain.

Through easy-to-understand chapters, this course will equip you with the knowledge you need to review your own practices, heightening your awareness of how digital technology and lawtech is being used in the present and may be used in the future.
