Workplace culture – Understanding and managing microaggression

The online classroom was delivered on 30 January 2024.

The recent emphasis on workplace environment by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) demonstrates that firms/organisations who do not take steps to proactively address unhealthy cultures could face regulatory action. The online classroom has been created with the SRA workplace environment guidance in mind. It will explore microaggression and provide practical guidance to facilitate more inclusive working practices.

Incorporating a panel discussion and Q&A, this online classroom is aimed at firms, organisations and individuals including managers looking to improve interactions in the workplace and understand the impact behaviours can have.

The guest panellists will provide an understanding of the impact of workplace microaggression based on their lived experience. They will share examples and advice on challenging and mitigating these behaviours.

This session will be facilitated by Yasmin Sheikh, a former personal injury lawyer turned diversity trainer and coach, Yasmin will provide an understanding of microaggression and share  practical actions that can lead to a healthier workplace environment.
