Helen Carr is a solicitor specialising in regulatory, compliance and professional ethics for lawyers and law firms. She has written for publications including the Law Society’s Legal Compliance Bulletin, the Risk and Compliance newsletter, and has contributed to a ‘Good Practice Guide’ on regulation, compliance and ethics in law firms. Helen has also drafted and updated a number of Law Society practice notes.

In her work as a risk and compliance consultant, Helen spoke regularly at conferences, events and online seminars, helping firms to navigate the regulatory landscape. She currently works in private practice as a senior risk and compliance manager. Helen was previously employed at the Law Society and the SRA as a risk and compliance consultant, senior ethics adviser, and practice standards adviser.
