Senior Responsible Officer (SRO) Certification Exam Preparation

This optional bitesize course has been developed to support anyone preparing for the new Senior Responsible Officer (SRO) Certification examination: it will be relevant to people who either wish to apply to become a SRO for a CQS-accredited practice, or who are currently a SRO of a CQS practice. This course focuses on the core Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) elements, which are:

  • the CQS Scheme Rules
  • the CQS Client Charter
  • the Law Society Conveyancing Protocol
  • the CQS Core Practice Management Standards
  • the Onsite Assessment Guidance Notes

The SRO Certification replaces the current Core Training: Role of the SRO. All SROs (new and existing) are required to undertake the SRO Certification, an examination which has been designed to evaluate and ensure the SRO’s competency in understanding, and ability to demonstrate effective knowledge of the core CQS elements.
