Your approach to networking determines the opportunities that come your way.  Would you like to develop the right mindset to become a successful networker?   

In this bundle, you will receive access to three online training courses that address different aspects of how to become successful when building professional relationships with colleagues and clients; you will also receive access to an online classroom led by the author, which will consolidate the key learning points explored in the bitesize courses.

In this online training course, we’ll be looking at the following areas: 

  • the challenges faced by young solicitors and those returning to the profession, particularly in relation to social skills and networking 
  • developing a more rounded approach to networking in a post-pandemic world 
  • intergenerational networking and how to bridge the growing gap between senior and junior solicitors 
  • how to build relationships with clients

Taking Terrifying Out of Networking (bitesize course) 

After completing this bitesize course, learners will be able to: 

  • analyse their own attitudes, mindset and behaviours when it comes to communicating and building professional relationships   
  • understand the obstacles that hold them back from using networking skills effectively and how to overcome these obstacles 
  • utilise practical tools to change their attitudes, mindset and behaviours to enhance client and professional relationships 

The Constructive Mindset of a Really Great Networker (bitesize course) 

After completing this bitesize course, learners will be able to: 

  • reflect on their personal goals and the purpose of networking  
  • gain insights into how to map out an individual strategy and develop a sense of control over the outcomes of networking   
  • understand the tools required to build an initial connection that can be nurtured to create an effective and mutually-giving professional relationship with colleagues and clients  

The Essential Stages of Professional Engagement (bitesize course) 

After completing this bitesize course, learners will be able to:  

  • outline the three stages of networking and be able to apply tips and strategies to excel at each stage  
  • use these skills to build nurturing and durable relationships with clients and colleagues  
  • discover innovative ways of developing professionally  

Impactful Conversations for Successful Professional Engagement (online classroom) 

After completing this online classroom, learners will be able to: 

  • apply the skills of a great networker in practice  
  • understand the principles of how to communicate with impact and meaning  
  • use techniques to transition from small talk to a deep conversation   
  • develop and enhance essential communication skills   
How you will learn

Course format 

The bitesize courses consist of the following elements: 

  • an interactive course presentation 
  • a variety of reflective questions and knowledge checks, to support and test understanding of the material as the learner progresses

The online classroom will consist of the following elements: 

  • an SME presentation, with opportunities for interaction, delivered using Microsoft Teams 
  • session notes to accompany the presentation 

Assessment 

Each of the three bitesize courses and the online classroom will be assessed through a non-graded scenario-based online assessment. 

Length 

Each bitesize course will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. The online classroom will take approximately one hour to complete.
