Independent Training Consultant - Disability Inclusion
Karen has worked in the field of disability equality for over twenty years as an Inclusion Manager and Special Needs Advisor in an educational context. She has designed and successfully delivered a wide-ranging training programme in the field of disability equality training to highly diverse audiences including headteachers, nursery owners, managers, teachers, parents/carers, childminders and early years practitioners.
As a career changer, Karen successfully completed a paralegal apprenticeship in the Court of Protection at Irwin Mitchell LLP, where she also gained a Cilex Level 3 qualification in Law and Practice. Karen is now working as a legal professional in a local authority Court of Protection team. She acts as a property and affairs Deputy for vulnerable adults who are protected parties under the Court of Protection and successfully manages a large caseload.
