From Foundation to Advanced, we have all aspects of Leadership and management comprehensively covered.

This content will cover foundational topics and themes that are essential to practice. It will primarily be of interest to early career stage practitioners. It will include:

  • Sharing your knowledge with colleagues to help them develop.
  • Holding others’ attention when sharing views and information.
  • Seeking supervision from more experienced colleagues.
  • Starting to gain trust from others and being seen as credible.
  • Involving others in your work.

This content will provide a more robust educational and professional development experience. It will be primarily of interest to members and practitioners who are looking to underpin existing knowledge, or broaden their areas of practice. It will include:

  • Encouraging colleagues to develop their knowledge and skills.
  • Holding others’ attention through an engaging and involving style.
  • Attending regular supervision from more experienced colleagues, and supervising / mentoring the junior ones.
  • Delegating reasonable responsibility to junior colleagues, whilst providing support.
  • Bringing team members together to work on matters inclusively and in collaboration.

Advanced-level content will offer a sophisticated professional learning experience, and it is aimed at underpinning practice excellence. Expectations of prior learning or assumed knowledge will be clearly stated for this type of content. It will include:

  • Providing challenging opportunities to others to encourage their development.
  • Engaging colleagues with plans, creating followership and involvement.
  • Ensuring appropriate supervision, mentoring and coaching of junior colleagues.
  • Sharing responsibility with the right people who have the required skills, knowledge and expertise.
